Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a manager of accounting to oversee corporate accounting and internal control processes. This position is pivotal in supporting the organization to ensure accurate and complete financial information, as well as compliance with internal control processes. The successful candidate for the role will have the ability to network cross functionally and build relationships across the organization. The role will report to the Director of Accounting, and is based at the Atlanta, GA office on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days in the office.

Job Location

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the month end close process and review the work of 2 to 4 staff accountants
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and their related financial analysis for centralized processing of expenses areas including payroll, health & welfare, intercompany, corporate card expense programs (T&E, P-Card, Fuel Card), credit card fees, rebate programs, and cash accounts.
- Ownership of ERP meta-data changes related to accounts, profit centers, data types, etc. as well as administering opening and closing periods.
- Establish and review balance sheet reconciliations for the consolidated balance sheet, including cash accounts.
- Prepare and review variance explanations of balance sheet and P&L accounts.
- Work with shared services to ensure invoices and cash receipts are accrued for and applied correctly.
- Work with Fixed Assets and Sales & Use Tax teams to understand the impact of their processes on the financials as a whole and ensure accuracy.
- Facilitate internal and external audit requests for interim, year-end, and operational reviews.
- Communicate independently and effectively with key stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, ensuring effective performance management and talent development.
- Additional ad-hoc requests as required
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required); CPA certification strongly preferred.
- 4-6 years of public accounting experience or general accounting in a large company.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing teams or a project.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel
- Prior experience with Oracle EPM preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and regulations.
