Job Summary

The Collaboration Engineer's job is to ensure that employees have the tools and training they need to collaborate effectively and be productive. They will also identify and implement technical solutions that allow end users to create online tools of their own. The Collaboration Engineer will also be the point person for all collaboration and citizen development projects such as the analysis, design, development, and deployment of SharePoint or QuickBase solutions.

The is a hybrid role based out of our Atlanta corporate office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business units, application teams, infrastructure areas and vendors to identity, review and evaluate the solution requirements.
  • Investigate and propose strategic fits for virtualization, consolidation and rationalization solution opportunities within the infrastructure or business.
  • Propose changes to the technical architecture and design solutions as applicable.
  • Evaluate and align strategic fit solutions across infrastructure platforms and solutions specific to system hardware and software technologies.
  • Understand, participate, review and influence long term capacity planning and technology investments.
  • Provide Client consulting and planning guidance as applicable for moderate to large highly complex projects/programs.
  • Provide consultation and works closely with other functional infrastructure areas/departments on multiple initiatives to meet common organizational / business goals and objectives.
  • Participate in and provides consulting to project teams on architectural, design development, integration opportunities, planning of highly complex systems and assures it is aligned to our established strategies, guiding principles, rationales and practices.
  • Identify and evaluate projects/programs/initiatives and design processes that enhance and rationalize existing and upcoming solutions.
  • Map requirements into standard services solution, identity opportunities for integrating to existing or reuse technology and provide cost effective solutions for moderate to large highly complex project/programs/initiatives.
  • Review, identify and manage requirements for moderate to complex solutions and do a cost value, feasibility and risk analysis.
  • Review, participate, develop and update architectural standards, guiding principles, rationales and strategies.
  • Evaluate, review and approve highly complex design solutions for business and Infrastructure project or programs or initiatives.


Job Requirements

  • Microsoft Teams voice engineer to assist in the planning, development, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of an Enterprise Teams Voice installation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or in a technology related field, OR equivalent through a combination of education and/or technology experience, OR 12+ years of technology experience
  • 6+ years' experience in planning, development, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of an Enterprise MS Teams Voice installation.
  • 5+ years of experience mentoring another technologist
  • Must be able to translate business requirements into technical architecture and designs for communication solutions.
  • Familiar with telecommunication technologies and has experience in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and PowerShell.
  • Must be able to deploy and configure Microsoft Teams Phone with PSTN connectivity through Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Microsoft Teams Calling Plans.
  • Manages devices certified for Microsoft Teams, audio/video conferencing, and voice migration.
  • Collaborates with telephony providers and third-party vendors to enable advanced voice features in Microsoft Teams.
  • Works with administrators for other workloads, including networking, identity, licensing, security, and compliance.
  • Ability to work with Cisco Room Systems as well as other room system devices
  • Strong proficiency with direct routing, E.164 dial plans, e911, SIP Trunking, PowerShell scripting, and MS Teams routing policies
  • 3+ years of technical engineering experience in unified communications platforms from multiple vendors
  • 3+ years of Microsoft UC administration experience with knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Conference Room devices
  • Experience in vendor management and internal customer service
  • Teams Certifications from Microsoft preferred (MS-700, MS-721)
