Technical Analyst I
The Technical Analyst I (TA) serves as the primary technology contact for revenue-generating locations such as Manheim Auto Auctions. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of local technology infrastructure while supporting business operations and strategic initiatives. The TA collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain hardware, software, and network systems, and plays a key role in incident resolution, change management, and disaster recovery planning. This position requires a high level of autonomy and technical proficiency across multiple domains including networking, end-user computing, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact for technology at assigned revenue-generating locations.
- Procure, install, and maintain hardware and software systems including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and availability; perform preventive maintenance and recommend upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of physical assets and configuration records.
- Lead disaster recovery efforts and ensure business continuity through proactive planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Conduct root cause analysis and submit change requests to address recurring issues.
- Participate in location management meetings to align technology solutions with business needs.
- Manage local service contracts and ensure high uptime during critical business operations.
- Support corporate initiatives including device and software deployments.
- Train end users on new technologies and processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess and implement infrastructure changes.
- Maintain compliance with service acceptance criteria and configuration management standards.
- Provide reports and recommendations for continuous improvement in service delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience supporting end-user computing devices in a business environment or a related role
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience participating in change management processes and implementing infrastructure changes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience supporting network infrastructure, including wireless technologies (WiFi, WAP).
- Experience supporting audio/visual systems and mobile technologies.
- Experience with Series/AS400 systems in a support capacity.
- Must be able to work onsite and travel up to 25%.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, walk, stand, squat, kneel and climb to perform essential job duties required to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain technology equipment.
Preferred:
- Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP, MCDST, or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP).
- Experience with identity and access management tools and practices.
- Experience supporting or managing technology in a high-pressure, revenue-generating environment.
- Experience with project management and stakeholder communication.
- Familiarity with data retention and legal archive requirements.
- Experience producing reports for field management and contributing to strategic technology planning.

USD 59,600.00 - 89,400.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $59,600.00 - $89,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
