We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Senior Trade Marketing Director - Marc Jacobs Beauty in our New York City office.

In an effort to further extend the business and the desirability of a major beauty actor, we seek a marketing professional to be responsible for the strategic business development globally. Along with the Global Vice President of the brand, the Global Senior Trade Marketing Director of Marc Jacobs Beauty will play a leadership role in providing strategic commercial guidance worldwide to deliver projected net revenues growth and market share gain and expand the brand in the make-up category.

The Global Senior Trade Marketing Director will work with the affiliates to deliver robust, innovative, on-brand and high-quality launch and activations programs. This smart and passionate individual will effectively leverage experience, knowledge, and skills to encourage strategic thinking and set challenging goals and objectives balancing brand, company needs.

This position will report primarily into the Global Vice President of the brand and will collaborate with the marketing and cross-functional directors and senior directors. Key stakeholders include the license, managing the relationship with its commercial counter-part and Senior Leadership.

You are a well-rounded commercial / marketing professional with experience in the fragrance and make-up industries, a background in selective distribution preferably and license experience to lead and evolve the brands' presence globally, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

  • Co-lead the strategic plan development in providing strategic guidance on Brand A&CP model, launch innovation rate and commercial initiatives.
  • Build 3Y brand P&L in line with net revenue and profit ambitions defined by finance while ensuring perfect alignment with the global commercialteam.
  • Define Commercial Guidelines and ensure that defined strategy is well implemented.
  • Proactively propose business strategy and operational framework for new retail we may engage with andmanage approvals for new door, new market and new e-comm platforms.
  • Define winning line-up and initiative seizing with the help of LCM and Brand Team.
  • Monitor pricing trends and define strategy with global pricing team and make sure that pricing implementations are done on the deadlines aligned with the brand and global pricing team.
  • Manage timely and relevant reporting to manager and Marc Jacobs Beauty team. Lead and drive contractual reporting to FH.
  • Build the entire business strategy and growth plan of the Marc Jacobs make-up relaunch and be the driving force and the point of reference in its implementation with the affiliates.

TRADE MARKETING AT GLOBAL LEVEL:

  • Ensure perfect brand execution of all brand initiatives (360 new launches / KCPs and animations)
  • Review and influence market trade and marketing plans.
  • Consolidate new launch feedbacks (what worked / didn't work / what is possible) and feedback the multi-functional teams.
  • Align cross-functions on specific market needs in terms of assets and initiatives.
  • Monitor commercial readiness, propose mitigation plan, and escalated if needed.
  • Prepare proactive reports when escalation to top mgmt. is needed.
  • Ensure retail excellence and implementation of global merchandising strategy.
  • Create cross-functional work (POE/Training/Marketing/Merchandising) stream to implement ROI-driven 360.

MANAGEMENT:

  • Infuse a new collaborative mindset, stimulating creativity, accountability, and engagement.
  • Cascade and set clear goals for each team member.
  • Create clear succession planning for key positions. Ensure everyone has a growth / individual plan.
  • Maintain constructive partnership with the Marc Jacobs license.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • +12 years of related trade / marketing experience
  • Undergraduate degree required. MBA a plus
  • Must have make-up experience.
  • Prestige/luxury brand experience preferred.
  • Must be autonomous, decisive, with a strategic thinking.
  • Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility.
  • Foster best practice thinking.
  • Must have ability to manage complexity.
  • Must have strong business acumen and be results/success oriented.
  • Must be an excellent team player; possessing the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional, affiliate teams and Fashion House.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication, analytical, creative and computer skills.
  • Salary Posting Range: $195,000-215,000
