OVERVIEW:

SumTotal is looking for strongengineers with excellent technical and communication skills to be part of theteam that develops our enterprise solutions. They will be responsible for thedesign, development, and maintenance of our products as well as mentoring staffmembers. They will be part of the core product development team that spansmultiple locations.

In this role you will...

• Ability to work hands-on with software engineers and have passion for delivering high quality code.
• Strong logical, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Responsible for coding, unit testing, implementing and maintaining new and existing modules and applications.
• Work collaboratively with Quality Assurance (QA) engineers through participation in the testing process.
• Ensure the long-term architectural and performance strategies are considered when designing and coding solutions.
• Ensure the ongoing quality of the product and customer satisfaction by helping to reduce customer defects.
• Provide technical and functional guidance to the team where needed.
• Collaborate within a project team to optimize performance of complex software systems. Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Collaborate with cloud operations, customer support, quality assurance and others, as needed.

• BTech/MS/MTech in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of software engineering work experience.
• Strong understanding of development and design fundamentals in at least one of the following languages - C#
• Strong understanding of development and design fundamentals in ASP.NET, MVC, Web API.
• Strong understanding of development and design fundamentals in client frameworks such as ReactJS, JQuery, AngularJS, Javascript.
• Strong understanding of development and design fundamentals in MS SQL 2k8 & above along with exposure to NoSQL DB like Cassandra/MongoDB.
• Exposure to event frameworks such as Kafka is preferred.
• Detail oriented, organized, thorough and strong quality control.
• Strong debugging skills and experience troubleshooting customer reported issues.
