Senior Learning & Development Manager

This is an individual contributor (IC) role responsible for the comprehensive development and growth of our Cornerstars both regionally and globally. As a Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Manager, you will be at the forefront of innovative initiatives aimed at enriching our workforce through a robust onboarding process and continuous training. You will oversee the entire onboarding training experience, ensuring New Cornerstars (new hires), are seamlessly integrated and equipped to start their careers successfully within Cornerstone.

Your role will involve designing and implementing adaptive and forward-thinking learning solutions that address both current and future organizational needs. You will closely collaborate with the People Team and senior leaders to identify essential skills and competencies required for various roles, empowering employees with the tools and assessments necessary for career advancement. Reporting to the US-based Director of Talent Management and Development, you will support and amplify their efforts.

In this role you will...

  • Conduct continuous skill and gap analysis, validate findings through data analysis, and consult with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leadership.
  • Oversee and address the training and development needs specific to the region.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training, e-learning curricula, and develop digital learning content.
  • Support and drive talent management practices such as Development Conversations, Cultural Initiatives, and Onboarding programs.
  • Curate globally accessible content and programs suitable for a global employee population.
  • Utilize AI tools and solutions to enhance the onboarding and continuous training experience by:
    • Leveraging AI-driven learning platforms to create personalized learning paths based on employee roles, skills, and career goals.
    • Implementing adaptive learning technologies to adjust training content dynamically based on learner performance and engagement.
    • Employing sentiment analysis tools to gather feedback from training participants and make data-driven improvements.

    You've got what it takes if you...

    • Have over 7-10+ years of experience in L&D, coaching/mentoring (SaaS highly preferred).
    • Possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation abilities.
    • Can work with virtual and global team members.
    • Demonstrate creative problem-solving and a growth mindset.
    • Have proven experience and proficiency in creating written and video collateral using Canva and Camtasia.
    • Are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Have expertise in AI technologies relevant to L&D, such as AI-driven learning paths, adaptive learning technologies, and sentiment analysis.
    • Experience Applying Adult Learning Theories and Instructional Design Principles Understanding of how adults learn and the best practices in designing and delivering training programs that drive significant business outcomes.
    • Ability to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through various methods such as surveys, quizzes, and assessments to ensure they contribute to improved job performance and business outcomes.
    • Knowledge of Current and Emerging Trends in L&D: Staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in the Learning and Development field, including the integration of AI, to ensure that training programs are cutting-edge and effective.
    • Change Management and Change Agility: Proficiency in change management practices to guide and support employees through organizational changes, fostering agility and continuous improvement in the face of evolving business needs.
