Associate Software Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Associate Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in backend development, exposure to frontend technologies, strong database skills, and a problem-solving mindset for debugging production issues. Familiarity with React.js and Generative AI (GenAI) tools is a strong plus.

In this role, you will...

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and services.
• Collaborate with the frontend team and integrate backend services with React.js applications.
• Write and optimize complex SQL/database queries.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production environments.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to deliver high-quality features.
• Leverage GenAI tools to improve productivity (e.g., code generation, documentation, test automation, debugging support).

You've Got What It Takes If You Have...

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in database design and writing complex queries (PostgreSQL/MySQL preferred).
• Experience with production debugging and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of Git and version control practices.

Extra dose of awesome if you have...

• Experience with React.js or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Active usage of GenAI tools for coding, testing, or productivity enhancement.
