Summary:
Responsible for supervising/ coaching/ mentoring STAR/ CHIP/ or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) comprised of Service Coordinators/ Case Managers, UM/ECM RN and support staff to achieve department goals and objectives. Acts as process owner and subject matter expert for program benefits and long term supports and services (LTSS.).

Responsible for supervising/ coaching/ mentoring STAR/ CHIP/ or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) comprised of Service Coordinators/ Case Managers, UM/ECM RN and support staff to achieve department goals and objectives. Acts as process owner and subject matter expert for program benefits and long term supports and services (LTSS.).
Education:
Registered Nurse; minimum of five (5) years clinical experience; Bachelors in Nursing Science (BSN) required. 3 to 5 years case management or utilization management experience required. Certification in case management (CCM) preferred. Proficiency in use of computer applications and typing speed (35 words per minute minimum). Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Preferred. No testing requirement. Strong skills in the following areas: Oral and written communication, Problem-solving, Organization and time management, Customer service, Knowledge of adult teaching and learning, Coaching.

Certification/Licensure:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas.
