Summary:
Perform all security related tasks as directed by a security leadership, including but not limited to providing routine security patrol, responding to incidents, offenses and emergency situations, maintaining locked areas; reporting criminal offenses, interacting with police and fire officials; and representing Cook Childrens Medical Center Prosper in a polite, friendly, professional manner to patients, family members, visitors, medical staff, volunteers and employees of the hospital. Work toward the departmental aim of providing for the personal safety of all patients, visitors, medical staff, volunteers and employees of the hospital. The protection of personal property belonging to all patients, visitors, medical staff, volunteers and employees of the hospital. The protection of the physical privacy of all patients, visitors, medical staff, volunteers and employees of the hospital. The protection of all hospital-owned property.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- • ne year of relevant security experience. Will consider relevant education in lieu of a portion of work experience.
- Strong customer service background.
- Computer literate in a Windows environment.
- Valid State of Texas Drivers License with a good driving record.
- Must pass drug testing, criminal background check.
- Must have good written and verbal communications skills in the English language.

Certification/Licensure:
- IAHSS Basic Security Certification must be completed within one (1) year of full time employment.
- • btain State of Texas Level 2 certification to be an unarmed security officer within 60 days of hire.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire from the American Heart Association.
- CPI Certification within 90 days of hire.
