Summary:
The Registered Nurse will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs. Nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment. The Registered Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations, sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.
$82.50/hr plus shift diffs
10% Completion Bonus at the end of the assignment if all requirements are met.
Hours: 630a - 7p (May vary, will be discussed in the interview)
Weekend Requirements
(4) Days of orientation starting the first day of the assignment must be completed. Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
22 Week Assignment Dates: (Start date will be determined by the Department)
9/22/25 - 2/21/26
10/5/25 - 3/7/26 (Internal Only)
10/6/25 - 3/7/26
11/4/24 - 4/4/26
Internal Employees must currently be a .5 FTE or less to qualify for Winter Plan.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- 2 years of RN experience or successful completion of a Cook Children's Winter Plan contract
- Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care experience preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required.
- Current BLS required
- PALS or NRP strongly encouraged and if presented upon hire, must maintain certification without lapsing.
- Certification as necessary in certain areas in the Medical Center.
