Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant functions in collaborative practice with physician(s) in the clinic setting. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Develops and maintains own volume of patients under the supervision of a physician. Provides practice/clinic coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, including prescriptive authority.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
- Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred

Physician Assistants
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area strongly preferred
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
- Current Texas professional registered nurse license
- Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license
- Certified as a PNP or FNP Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required

- Current Texas professional physician assistant license
- Certified as a PA-C Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
