Summary:
The Medical Assistant will work to assist Cook Children's gastroenterologists who specialize in treating infants, children, and teenagers with diseases and disorders of the digestive system. The Medical assistant will assist with patient check-in, taking patients' vitals, calling with results, and assisting with procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations. Hours: Part-time 20 hours per week, 8 am - 12 pm Monday-Friday
*If hired, must be able to travel to Fort Worth for a 4-day orientation.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required
- Graduate of an accredited MA school, OR a current MA certification required
- Benefit-eligible position
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
- Current BLS Certification is required before start
- National certification preferred
