Summary:
The Director of Precision Medicine is the enterprise-wide authority responsible for the vision, operational execution, and clinical integration of the Precision Medicine core at Cook Children's Health Care System. The Director leads the translation of genomics and molecular discoveries into personalized, evidence-based pediatric care by overseeing a sophisticated portfolio that includes precision clinics, variant science, pharmacogenomics, and innovative precision therapies including n of 1 gene therapy trials. Reporting to the AVP, Pediatric Precision Health Program (PPHP), the Director leads multidisciplinary teams to establish specialized clinics and integrate biomarker-driven testing into standard clinical practice, ensuring the enterprise remains at the forefront of gene-informed medicine and large-scale genomic screening. Through expert leadership, the Director bridges the gap between groundbreaking research and bedside application to redefine the standard of care for pediatric populations.
Experience:
- 15 years of relevant professional experience, including 5 years of proven leadership experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical, investigator initiated, and academic research
Education:
- Master's degree in scientific discipline (e.g., Research, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, Chemistry, etc.)
