Summary:
Under the guidance of the Director, Development Strategy the Development Associate will assist with programming logistics within the Cook Childrens Health Foundation. The Associate will be responsible for activities which help to strengthen the donors engagement with Cook Childrens. The Associate will build and maintain effective working relationships and establish rapport with key constituents to include employees, parent groups, patient families and donors. The Associate will provide support for Cook Childrens Health Foundations signature events, community programs including Experience the Mission (ETM) and donor giving societies. This position is unique because it provides strong opportunities to learn basic components of a comprehensive development program. This position supports the donor engagement team and reports directly to the Director, Development Strategy.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Prefer 3 years of experience with nonprofits, events, marketing, sales or similar business in order to effectively communicate with donors and prospective donors. Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with physicians, senior leadership, administration and outside vendors.
- This position requires tremendous detail and therefore strong organizational skills are a must.
- Must work well in a team setting as well as being self-motivated to ensure deadlines are met.
