Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President and working closely with Corporate Associate Gift Officer, this position is directly responsible for cultivating, managing, and stewarding current corporate partnerships and recruiting new corporate donors for Cook Children's. In this role, the Corporate Partnerships Specialist will plan and execute corporate special events, manage workplace and matching gift giving, manage corporate partnership volunteer opportunities, and execute fundraising initiatives to achieve fundraising goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Work requires 2-5 years of experience in fund raising, marketing or related field in order to acquire skills necessary to administer, coordinate and/or participate in mid-level gifts fund raising activities and proposal development.
  • Working knowledge of Raisers Edge database preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The position requires strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate accurately and persuasively the themes and issues associated with a pediatric medical center and health care system. The individual must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues inside and outside the Foundation. Familiarity with the local community is strongly preferred.
  • A high level of analytical ability and a multi-tasked manner of thinking are required.
  • The successful candidate must be self-motivated and directed, possessing excellent administrative skills, high motivation, and a proven ability to produce results in a highly deadline-oriented environment.
  • • ther required attributes include independence, reliability, accuracy, and expedience in addressing duties, as well as the ability to handle pressure, to meet deadlines and to do so with a minimum of supervision or instruction.
  • A strong team orientation toward both internal and external constituencies is required.
  • The successful candidate must be independent, accurate, reliable, and a fast worker.
  • Ability to learn new software is necessary.
