Summary:
The Cook I will perform a variety of tasks in processing, preparation and mixing of cold food items. Utilizes standardized recipes, procedures and practices. Complies with regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- 1 year experience in institutional or commercial food service food preparation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of food service safety and handling or equipment.
- Must be able to follow and relay oral written detailed instructions, effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform duties throughout shift that requires standing, walking, pushing carts up to 400#, pulling, stooping, lifting up to 50# containers, and withstand extreme temperatures of hot and cold for periods of time.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must have City of Ft. Worth Food Handlers Card prior to employment. Card must be current at all times during employment.
