Summary:
The clinical pharmacist provides professional pharmaceutical services to patients, healthcare providers, and hospital staff. The clinical pharmacist ensures optimal pharmaceutical therapy outcomes and prospectively develops pharmaceutical plans for each patient. All activities are done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations with the health and welfare of the patient paramount.
Education & Experience:
- Graduate from an American Council on Pharmacy Education accredited school of pharmacy PGY1 residency accredited by the American Society for Health-System Pharmacy or 2 years commensurate pharmacist experience in a health-system setting.
- Previous pediatric experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:
- Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Licensure as a registered pharmacist.
- Pharmacist and pharmacy preceptor licensure must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (critical care areas only).
