Summary:

The pharmacy cashier is responsible for maintaining the high quality of the Cook Childrens patient experience for our retail pharmacy patients and families. The pharmacy cashier will support pharmacists and technicians by greeting and checking out customers, restocking supplies, and maintaining an organized front end OTC section. The pharmacy cashier may complete technician functions once trained in specific tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual language skills (Spanish and English speaking, reading, and writing) required and able to pass language proficiency assessment prior to start of employment.
  • Previous experience in customer service preferred.
  • Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Meet eligibility requirements for Texas Board of Pharmacy Technician-in Training License.
  • Technician training license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required within two years of employment.
