Summary:
The Associate Gift Officer will qualify potential donors and develop relationships between Cook Children's and prospects for philanthropic gifts of $5,000 or more. Cultivate and solicit existing donors, prospective donors, grateful patient families and organizations for mid-level gifts to fund identified projects and/or health care system priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Work requires 2-5 years of experience in fund raising , marketing or related field in order to acquire skills necessary to administer, coordinate and/or participate in mid-level gifts fund raising activities and proposal development.
- The position requires strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate accurately and persuasively the themes and issues associated with a pediatric medical center and health care system.
- The individual must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues inside and outside the Foundation.
- Familiarity with the local community is strongly preferred.
- A high level of analytical ability and a multi-tasked manner of thinking are required.
- The successful candidate must be self-motivated and directed, possessing excellent administrative skills, high motivation, and a proven ability to produce results in a highly deadline-oriented environment.
