Supply Chain Planner

Job Description
THE POSITION

  • In this role, you ensure the delivery reliability along the total Supply Chain for the plant's article portfolio.
  • Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to forecast demand for products or services based on historical data, market trends, and upcoming promotions or Launch events.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. Monitor inventory levels, track inventory turns, and coordinate replenishment orders with central CDIM.
  • Production Planning: Develop production schedules short and long term and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure timely production and delivery of products. Balance production capacity with demand forecasts and inventory levels to optimize efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain, such as reducing lead times, improving forecast accuracy, or optimizing inventory levels. Implement and monitor improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and disruptions within the supply chain, such as supplier shortages and quality issues. Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of disruptions on supply chain operations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze supply chain data, such as demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supplier performance metrics, to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate regular reports, act on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand forecasting accuracy, forecast bias, inventory levels, and customer service levels. Use KPIs to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability within the organization. to track performance and support decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of different factors such as, promotional activities, or supply chain disruptions on demand forecasts. Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address potential risks and uncertainties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and logistics, to align supply chain activities with business goals and objectives. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure coordination and alignment of activities.
  • Coordinate order processing and fulfillment activities to ensure on-time delivery to customers. Monitor order status, resolve any issues or delays, and communicate with customers regarding order status updates.
  • Scenario Planning: Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of different factors (such as pricing changes, promotional activities, or supply chain disruptions) on demand forecasts. Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address potential risks and uncertainties.
  • Develop tools to enhance analytical skills and knowledge of supply chain planning concepts and techniques among team members. Encourage continuous learning and professional growth to build a strong analytical capability within the organization.
  • Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
  • Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
  • Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
  • Supports the Continental Business System (CBS ) structure by participating in the applicable CBT meeting, reviewing and managing his/her/team performance, conducting simple problem-solving using action sheets, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, participating in the CBT reviews, and taking ownership for presented parts of the team boards.

Qualifications
Basic Qualification
  • Bachelors Degree - Supply Chain and or Logistics related degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Strong distinct planning and organization skills
  • 2+ years of experience Working in Supply Chain
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Experience with supply chain software systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar) is often preferred, but not always required for entry-level positions.
  • Previous work experience in supply chain, logistics, or related fields
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Continental is able to offer visa support and relocation for internal candidates.
