Job Description
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a student to gain experience on the material evaluation and process improvement for industrial rubber and plastic products. The student will have the opportunity to learn about the physical properties, the overall manufacturing process, and the applications of industrial rubber and plastic products.

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support PUR and SCM on technical discussions regarding alternate raw materials
  • Foster material savings, phase-out of hazardous materials, cost improvement projects and activities according to product requirements and customer focus
  • Organize laboratory testing on alternate materials
  • Evaluate and interpret results
  • Communicate to stakeholders regularly by sharing information, creating technical reports, and delivering presentations

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled in a US accredited degree program pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Polymer, or Material Science
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8
  • Must be able to work onsite at our Fairlawn, OH location
  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours (Mon-Fri)
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and highly independent
  • Displays a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow
