Algorithm Developer - Radar Perception

The complexity offuture driver assistance systemsgrows continuously. The Vision 0 (injuries & accidents) and the autonomous mobility are strong drivers to develop this field. The development of modern algorithms for cutting-edge components (Radar, Lidar, Camera, Ultrasonic and Central Processing Unit) is one of the key area to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the environment around the vehicles

• Algorithm development(classical and AI) in theradar perceptionstack (can be any of the following areas: object tracking, object classification using radar information, modelling of the static environment, etc.);
• Creation of all necessary work products along the development process for seriessoftwarefrom requirementsover design, planning and implementation to verification and validation;
• Provide component and feature roadmaps aligned with product strategies & roadmaps for existing and future development;
• Application and compliance with R&D processes and standards within group and assurance of adequate documentation;
• Alignment and interaction with theinternal and external customersand participation in workshops and audits;
• Actively support Demos (incl. vehicle testing), Acquisitions and Quotes (RFI & RFQ) including alignment on requirements;
• Mentoring students (e.g. Master thesis).

• University degree (BSc,MSc, PhD) in engineering, mathematics, physics or on a similar field;
• Advanced embeddedC programming;
• Skills in data processing,algorithmsmodelling (Python or similar)
• Knowledge ofsensoricsin automotive or robotics
• Strong communication skills and experience with customer interfaces, operating confident, reliably and autonomously
• Intercultural awareness, fluent inEnglish
• Strong team player with ability to perform in projects runningagile methodology(sprints, product demos etc.)

• Advantage is experience from regulatory or functional safety products;
• Skills in Machine learning and Deep learning techniques;
• Radarbackground is a huge plus.
