Position Summary
The role will involve building effective relationships with our operations and marketing teams as well as our suppliers through safety, quality, innovation, efficiency and process optimization. Responsibilities to also include strategy development/execution, negotiation, and management of contracts and supplier relationships for assigned indirect material and capital categories which may include plant operating materials, wine making supplies, and viticulture as well as direct material categories within the Wine and Spirits Division.

The Procurement Associate Manager will also be responsible for managing the vendor selection process, socializing strategies with key stakeholders, negotiating cost, and monitor compliance. Other key responsibilities to include holding suppliers accountable for performance and continuous improvement including lead-time reduction, inventory management, driving working capital benefits, and where appropriate, utilizing supplier scorecards to monitor and improve overall performance. The APM demonstrates strong technical skills, the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, develop insights and generate reports to support Category Management.
You will need to be commercially strong with excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will need to possess a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, and be able to influence at all levels. Multi-tasking experience, organization and the flexibility to address immediate priorities while managing deadlines will be critical for success. You will need to be able to see the "bigger picture" so that longer-term and strategic initiatives can be executed while also being able to pay attention to the details and maintain a high degree of accuracy.
Responsibilities
Category Strategies Assist in developing and leading the discussion in gaining cross function alignment and then executing category strategies for the named commodities which underpin the wider business strategy. Plan and execute negotiations and contracts for both formal tenders and ad-hoc activities. Engage suppliers to identify new and innovative solutions.
Supplier Performance Management
Monitor and drive supplier performance in assigned categories.
Work with other Functions (Operations, Facilities, Engineering, Viticulture, etc.) to ensure that business goals and targets are met.
Capacity and Contingency Planning
Ensure that Suppliers have necessary capacity and stock arrangements to support the Business requirements.
Execute contingency plans for critical items (alternate suppliers/factories/items, business continuity plans, etc.).
Support the Supply Chain and Production functions when Inbound supply issues occur by escalating issues internally and working with supplier to identify and implement sustainable solutions.
Reporting/Forecasting/Budgeting
Support the development, maintenance and reporting of savings and productivity metrics.
Support category metrics and analytics program.
Support and prepare data needed for quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
Support critical thinking / analysis Ad Hod report request, determine appropriate data sets and assumptions, involve relevant stakeholder input, conduct analysis and provide actionable insights
Gather and combine complementary data from multiple sources. Manipulate, cleanse, analyze, and validate data.
Prepares CM analysis and creates presentation slides for various meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University majoring in supply chain, finance, engineering or a business-related field or equivalent working experience.
- 2+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, or Planning experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, related internal functions, external partners, and on project teams.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, & problem-solving skills required.
- Solid, straightforward, and professional oral and written communication skills, including presenting data and analysis clearly to management.
- Ability to work with all levels and functions within the Company, and with external business partners.
- Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company's values.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management and process improvement experience a plus.
- Stakeholder management skills and experience a plus.
- Proficient in the use of all category management software, concepts, analytical techniques; have an understanding of syndicated data.
- Strong PC proficiency, including extremely strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Travel 10% of the time

The salary range for this role is:
$80,400.00 - $120,600.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
