Conagra Brands is looking for a Solution Architect – SAP Manufacturing reporting to the Sr Director of IT to lead the design and implementation of manufacturing solutions within the SAP landscape. You will focus on driving end-to-end architecture for SAP Manufacturing modules (such as PP, QM, PM, DM, WM, and related MES integrations), aligning technology solutions with team goals, and ensuring scalable, efficient, and high-performing system landscapes. As an important contributor to the Digital Plant team, you will be a technical expert, collaborating with partners across IT and operations to provide future-ready solutions that enable smart, connected manufacturing.

  • Position responsibilities:

    • Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across the SAP Manufacturing domain, including SAP PP/PI, QM, PM, DM, and MES integrations.

    • Shape development frameworks and architectural standards, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide strategies and technology roadmaps.

    • You will oversee the design and collaborate with the Senior System Engineers and Analysts to develop high-quality and scalable SAP solutions.

    • Partner with Enterprise Architects and peer Solution Architects to shape the SAP Manufacturing architecture vision and enable future-state capabilities.

    • Provide expertise on SAP best practices, latest technologies (e.g., S/4HANA, Digital Manufacturing, IoT), and opportunities for innovation in manufacturing operations.

    • Provide architectural leadership across the SAP Service and Asset Management (SAM) domain, including integration of SAP PM, ASPM, and related asset lifecycle management solutions.

    • Design and integrate SAP Digital Manufacturing with PLC/SCADA via OPC UA or MQTT.

    • You will oversee the end-to-end system conversion from ECC to S/4 Hana Rise for the manufacturing portfolio.

    • Collaborate with the Digital Plant team to shape and deliver digital manufacturing capabilities, ensuring alignment with broader Industry 4.0 strategies.

    • Partner with the Digital Plant leadership to evaluate and deploy emerging asset intelligence technologies to enhance plant reliability, safety, and performance.

    • Develop and maintain roadmaps and strategic plans, ensuring architectural alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Support the definition of architectural patterns and principles, validating new ideas and technologies through proof-of-concept development.

    • Contribute to release readiness, and deployment validation, supporting smooth and stable implementations.

    • Collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Senior System Analysts, and Shared Services Architects to finalize design

    • Participate in Agile ceremonies at both the product and team level, influencing design direction and delivery cadence.

    • Champion organizational change adoption, ensuring successful implementation and integration of SAP Manufacturing solutions across teams.

    • Manage communications and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, playing a key role in Agile delivery squads.

    • Evaluate and select third-party tools and platforms to complement the SAP landscape

    • Evaluate and select third-party implementation partners and provide guardrails for designing as well as perform reviews

Conduct impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis, and risk mitigation planning for proposed changes to the SAP manufacturing environment.

  • Mentoring Senior System Analysts and System Analysts.

  • Help design and implement interfaces between SAP and other third-party tools.

  • Firm understand of creating governed data products and other reporting products for the business using technologies like Databricks, Calibra, and Palantir.

  • You have (position qualifications):

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information System or related field(s) ; master's preferred.

    • 8 + years of hands-on experience with SAP Manufacturing in the SAP environment

    • Technical knowledge of SAP systems and a good understanding of several functional areas such as PP/PI, QM, PM, WM. FI is a plus

    • Exposure and understanding of SAP security concepts

    • Experience working in Agile/Continuous Delivery model tools for managing portfolio and products such as Jira.

    • Experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing or other modern manufacturing execution systems is a plus.

    • Experience with SAP Service and Asset Management (SAM), including ASPM or integration with field service solutions, is highly desirable.

    • Knowledge of the operational technology (OT) environment is required.

    • Experience working with or supporting initiatives within a Digital Plant or Smart Factory program is highly desirable.

    • This role is hybrid and will require onsite work 3 days per week in our Omaha, NE office

    • Up to 25% travel to US plants for project related work could be required.

    This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.

    Compensation: 

    Pay Range:$123,100-$179,400

    The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
