This is a hybrid position primarily based in Canton, MA. Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Storage Engineer to join our Computershare Technology Services (CTS) team.

A role you will love

As the Storage Engineer, you will be working within our global Compute and Storage pod. You will be responsible for maintenance and BAU work as well as project work as assigned, to enhance customer experience and enable our customers to run their operations effectively. Some of the key technologies you will work with in this role will include VMAX, VNX, ECS, Isilon, Nutanix HCI, Rubrik, Cisco MDS Switches (SAN Zoning), and VMWare.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support for all of Compute and Storage customers and clients via ServiceNow
  • Service Incidents and requests
  • Maintaining firmware, software, and hardware expansions
  • Completing data migration tasks
  • Ensuring all storage systems are available and meet with company requirements
  • Maintaining logical and physical security measures where appropriate
  • Vendor maintenance (Dell/EMX, Rubrik, Nutanix, Cisco)
  • Ensuring hardware and software fault calls are placed, managed and resolved according to relevant maintenance contracts and in line with problem management processes
  • Building pro-active and constructive professional relationships with other teams and departments (PODs)
  • Providing support to POC and deployment activities
  • Working within the change management process (maintenance/change management controls, windows, requirements)
  • Build, update, maintain relevant documentation and procedures and promoting global standards where possible

What will you bring to the role?

You are someone who can work with both those who are technical and those with limited understanding of technical concepts. You also have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both verbal and written). You have a strong sense of accountability, and are results-oriented, with the ability to set priorities independently, provide follow-through, and meet objectives.

You'll also bring:

  • 3+ years' experience supporting day-to-day EMC storage technologies (VMAX, VNX, Cisco MDS)
  • Experience with Cisco UCS environment, VMware vCenter/virtual machines
  • Experience with configuration and maintenance of SRDF replication (Metro, /A)
  • Experience maintaining Isilon environment, DR Failover, and replication
  • Proven ability to manage multiple change work streams, often across many technologies
  • Understanding of ITIL v3 processes and functions

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Powershell, CLI, and Automation
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Backup Solution Experience (Rubrik a plus)
  • Experience with Superna Eyeglass
  • Experience with Nutanix HCI, Prism Central, Nutanix Files
