Senior Stock Surveillance Analyst

Georgeson is a division within Computershare Issuer Services, providing clients proxy solicitation, consulting services and stock surveillance services.
Georgeson is looking to grow our Proxy Advisory team with the addition of a Senior Stock Surveillance Analyst.
The Stock Surveillance Analyst operates within this division at a regional level and collaborates at a global Georgeson level when appropriate.
This role will be within the Shareholder Intelligence team, which manages the stock surveillance engagements. There will also be secondary responsibilities within the Investor Intelligence team, which provides the investor intelligence and client deliverables related to proxy solicitation and corporate advisory.
A role you will love
The Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day consulting of market trading and identifying the investors behind those trades. The analyst is also responsible for the delivery of high-quality client deliverables, as well as engaging with the Proxy Advisory team and clients on work product.
The Analyst will work closely with peers, account executives, business development, and the consulting team to incorporate investor intelligence into client deliverables.
In addition, the Analyst will support overall business initiatives to enhance and expand the capabilities of the team.
- Stock surveillance - Analyse public position filings, mutual fund disclosures, and settlement reports from Depository Trust Company to identify real-time shareholder movements.
- Stay informed with all current events, including stock market, M&A, shareholder activism and ESG
- Conduct client calls to disseminate shareholder and stock market intelligence.
- Provide support for all M&A and shareholder activism efforts, including work product and business development
- Identify institutional investor voting for clients
- Support consulting research
What will you bring to the role?
- 5-10 years of experience in stock surveillance or shareholder identification roles
- Advanced knowledge of the capital markets, proxy advisors, M&A and shareholder activism (required).
- Comprehension of investors and research capabilities to find, review, and distil all public, and non-public, trading resources.
- Expertise researching, compiling and working with large amounts of data, and the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability to be a key member of a diverse team of professionals working with companies across a variety of industries and market capitalizations on stock surveillance, proxy solicitation and/or shareholder engagement
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and research capabilities to gather investor trading intelligence needed to support client deliverables.
- Comfortable learning new concepts and executing on multiple projects simultaneously, with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000/yearly. This base pay range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations.
