Inside every communication, we enable our clients to improve the experience for their customers. We manage digital inbound and outbound communications, as well as traditional print and mail.

Communication Services operates four regional businesses - Australia, the US, Canada and EMEA (the UK, Germany and South Africa). This role is the Regional Marketing Partner for Australia.

Tightly integrated with our 'front office' teams (Sales, Relationship Management etc.), the Communication Services marketing team enables the collective regions of CCS to Acquire, Retain and Grow profitable clients who are Computershare advocates.

A role you will love

The Senior Marketing Manager is a new role and a key enabler for our Australian business. You will:

  • Develop, execute and measure the performance of the region's marketing strategy
  • Research and analyse the voice of our prospects and clients
  • Generate demand that's aligned to our business priorities
  • Plan and develop valued content and experiences across the client lifecycle
  • Drive and participate in cross-functional communities of professional practice

The role will develop a deep understanding of the local market and business priorities. Like other key regional partner roles (e.g. Finance, People), this role will work closely with our regional managing director, sales and relationship management teams. You'll also gain an appreciation of our global business via a small community of regional marketing partners who collaborate regularly.

The role operates in an enterprise B2B context that is accompanied by a complex network of client personas spanning operations to C-suite, and so you'll bring plenty of experience in Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and Person-Based Marketing (PBM).

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with colleagues across the business to translate the business objectives, priorities, market opportunities and core offer into a formal, cohesive marketing strategy for the region that is aligned with our businesses global strategy and business transformation.
  • Define target audience needs, market trends and the competitive landscape using insight and data to inform decision making.
  • Own and maintain persona creation.
  • Collaborate and maintain a two-way dialogue with sales and relationship management to ensure marketing strategy is understood and feedback is actively sought and acknowledged.
  • Oversee launch planning for new business offerings with clear milestones, sequencing, and deliverables.
  • Recommend the annual marketing planning and budget for the business; manage the agreed budget and communicate any changes that may occur.
  • Own regular marketing performance reviews and identification of action items to improve revenue performance, actively contributing learnings and best practice to the marketing team.

What will you bring to the role?

The Senior Marketing Manager role requires significant experience of managing marketing strategies and campaigns within complex business environments.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Significant experience developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns within large, complex B2B business environments with long sales cycles. Knowledge of B2C marketing will also be desirable.
  • Experience managing all elements of the marketing mix - ideally supported by a recognised marketing qualification.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, programs and objectives.
  • Local market knowledge and understanding of the region is key.
  • Equipped with strong Account Based Marketing (ABM) and Person Based Marketing (PBM) capabilities.
  • Strong digital knowledge and skills: CRM, web, social, search.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Good strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to understand customer and market data and analyse campaign ROI.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Any exposure or experience working on a global scale would be of advantage.

Preferred:

  • Formal marketing qualification (degree or CIM) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or college/university degree.
  • Experience working across different global markets and regulated businesses.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the essential communications or associated marketplace would be useful.
