Senior Manager Outsourcing Governance

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

This is a FCA Certified Function role under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR), which means that prior to commencing the role the successful candidate will need to pass Employee Screening checks and complete a 'Fit and Proper' assessment.

This team are responsible for overseeing all regulated activities across CIS, with a core focus on maintaining a robust control framework that supports our Conduct Risk and Client Assets and Money (CASS) commitments. We're looking for a strategic and experienced governance professional to join our Operational Governance team. Reporting to the Regional Head, you'll lead oversight of key outsourced activities - including the firms material outsourcing arrangement - lead the firm's operational resilience, manage its SM&CR regime and support the production of the annual ICARA document and act as Business Information Security Officer (BISO). You'll also supervise governance across Poland, Ireland, and the Channel Islands, with a focus on Operational Resilience and SM&CR compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee outsourcing governance and operational resilience, including service mapping, testing, and SLA reviews
  • Lead SM&CR compliance through process design, training, and advisory support
  • Manage risk oversight via remediation tracking, assessments, and control reviews
  • Drive ICARA planning, including scenario analysis, capital requirements, and wind-down strategy
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across CIS to embed regulatory best practices

  • Expertise in outsourcing governance and operational resilience, including service mapping and SLA oversight
  • Deep knowledge of SM&CR, with experience in compliance design and staff training
  • Strong risk and control oversight, including remediation and assessment processes
  • Direct involvement in ICARA planning, capital assessment, and wind-down strategy
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to leadership
