About the USM project:
The government in Hong Kong is currently working towards the 'dematerialisation' of share certificates and the creation of an uncertificated securities market (USM). It's a multi-year project and, once it's complete, Computershare will be a regulated business for share registry services. This is a significant change for the Hong Kong market and will requires significant marketing and communications activity to a number of stakeholder groups including industry players, listed companies and their shareholders.

A role you will love
The Part Time Marketing Assistant provides essential support to the marketing and communication workstream of the USM project by handling marketing administration, assisting with campaign execution including public events, and contributing to market research and analysis. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the Marketing and Communications workstream.
This is a 12-month contract role reporting to the Head of Marketing and Comms - USM; working closely with Business, Group Marketing, and Issuer Marketing teams.
Some other key accountabilities will include:
• Review and alignment of translation projects: follow up of translation and design projects within the Marketing and Communications workstream, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines across all marketing materials.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders: liaise with internal teams and external agencies to execute marketing events and activities for the USM project.
• Support for external marketing events: assist in coordination and on-the-ground execution of external marketing events such as industry conferences, client seminars, and educational trainings for retail investors.
• Project tracking: maintain up-to-date records of approved marketing materials in intranet.
• External agency follow-up: handle and track payment process to external agencies, ensuring timely processing in accordance with internal finance procedures.
• Market research: conduct market research to support campaign strategy and execution. This includes gathering and analysing market data, identifying industry trends, and providing actionable insights to help inform decision-making within the marketing and communications workstream.
What will you bring to the role?
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent marketing knowledge, as well as problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Some other key skills required for the role:
• Past experience of working in marketing functions.
• Project management skills: proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables align with brand standards.
• Attention to detail: demonstrated accuracy in reviewing, proofreading, and aligning marketing materials, particularly translations and design assets.
• Stakeholder collaboration: strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience liaising across business units and engaging external agencies to deliver successful events and campaigns.
• Event coordination: hands-on experience supporting, and executing marketing events, including conferences, seminars, and training sessions.
• Adaptability & initiative: capacity to respond to shifting priorities and increased demand for marketing support, demonstrating resourcefulness under pressure.
• Excellent English, Cantonese and Mandarin skills.
