A fantastic opportunity to step into a full-time permanent role that will prepare you for a future career with Computershare! Our Counter Services team is currently looking for an Investor Counter Officer to join the team. This role will be based in Hopewell Centre, Wanchai.
A role you will love
This role requires great attention to detail, you will be familiar with working in a main contact point with shareholders from different issuers, assisting in collecting or dispatching share certificates, dividend cheques, transfer documents and different kind of shareholder's and corporate communications. You are also in the role of share transfer and performing documents and forms checking.
You will participate in projects aimed at business improvement in the company and a chance to work with different stakeholders and have opportunities to drive efficiency and keep in a close touch with the upcoming changes in stock market for uncertificated security handling. You will be with us with the aim of delivering professional transfer services and participate in answering enquiries from the shareholders should the need arise.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide professional transfer services, including issuing transfer receipts and verifying all required documentation.
- Dispatch or collect shares certificates and cheques
- Handle counter system operations and share certificate processing duties
- Maintain a high standard of service for handling enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Co-operate with different support teams to deliver different kinds of shareholders services
- Support an ad-hoc assignments are required
- Receive dealing instruction from listed clients and coordinate with internal parties for execution
What will you bring to the role?
To succeed in this role, you should be a secondary school graduate with a foundational understanding of the Hong Kong stock market. Candidates with experience in customer service will be highly regarded. You will bring a detail-oriented mindset to document handling, and demonstrate self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
