Georgeson, a Computershare business unit, is a global leader in proxy solicitation, governance advisory, and shareholder engagement. The Head of Europe sits on the Georgeson Executive Leadership Team and leads the regional execution of Georgeson's global strategy across all European markets.
As Head of Europe, you will oversee the Heads of Market in various jurisdictions, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence in service delivery. You will require a strong ability to manage across regulatory environments, operate strategically and tactically, and coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders. The role interacts regularly with senior clients, advisors, and industry groups across multiple markets; operating at both regional and global levels, this role carries high visibility and impact.

A role you will love
As the Head of Europe, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth, client success, and operational excellence across all European markets. Overseeing and supporting the Heads of Market in each country, you will ensure alignment with Georgeson's global objectives while tailoring strategies to local market dynamics. To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate seasoned leadership, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams, representing Georgeson at the highest levels both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Heads of Market to achieve and exceed business targets across Europe.
- Develop and execute regional strategy, aligned with global priorities, and adapting to local market trends and risks.
- Oversee and drive business development and client expansion efforts across all European markets.
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients, advisors, and industry influencers.
- Provide strategic oversight on major client projects, ensuring high standards and uniformity across regions.
- Mentor and coach the Heads of Market to build leadership capability, succession depth, and team cohesion.
- Represent the European region in global leadership forums, influencing company-wide decision-making.
- Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor actions to guide business positioning.
What will you bring to the role?
To be successful as the Head of Europe for our Georgeson business you will be already operating at a senior leadership level within a similar global financial services organisation. You will have experience and an expert understanding of investor relations, corporate governance, ESG, M&A, and stakeholder engagement, within a multi-market environment.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to lead through ambiguity and manage complex, multi-market operations.
- Exceptional client relationship skills with the ability to engage at board and C-suite level.
- Strong track record of developing high-performing teams and managing senior managers.
- Ability to align regional business strategy with global objectives.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of European regulatory environments, market structures, and client expectations.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages highly desirable.
