Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Development - Continental Europe to join our team at a truly exciting time.

We are looking for a strategic leader who can manage technology demand from the business while guiding the development organisation's direction. Reporting to the CIO of our Issuer Services business line, you will be accountable for aligning business priorities with development capacity and ensuring delivery across a portfolio of applications and supporting framework.

A role you will love

As Head of Development for Continental Europe, your focus will be on balancing business needs with the development team's roadmap. You will ensure that demand is understood, prioritised, and delivered effectively, while maintaining technical standards and long-term strategic goals.

You will combine strong leadership with commercial awareness, ensuring that technology solutions meet business requirements, comply with Computershare's architectural and security standards, and follow our software development methodology.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and development teams, translating demand into actionable plans.
  • Develop and implement strategies that balance short-term delivery with long-term technology objectives.
  • Lead and motivate teams, ensuring clarity on priorities and how individual roles contribute to business outcomes.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain talent, building strong teams with fair and transparent evaluation.
  • Establish governance, systems, and processes with appropriate controls to minimise regulatory, financial, and reputational risk.
  • Manage financial performance for the development function, ensuring delivery against agreed budgets and metrics.
  • Collaborate with global and local business units to align demand and capacity planning.

What will you bring to the role?

We are seeking a proactive and driven individual who possesses solid foundation in leadership within Technology and Development. You will need to be able to Motivate and challenge employees towards high performance to achieve the organisation's vision and goals.

You have exceptional stakeholder management skills, coupled with a global mindset that allows you to work on a global scale with ease.

Some other key skills that you'll have:

  • Experience in a similar role at a similar level and have experience in an executive capacity.
  • Highly experienced inspirational leader of large teams with a proven track record.
  • Expert ability to develop profitable strategies and implement vision.
  • Experience in using and implementing agile methodologies.
  • Expert ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • German and English at C1 level (written and spoken)
  • Solid foundation in .NET
