The Business Support Team Manager will be responsible for driving the day-to-day execution and coordination of operational business support processes within the GEC department. As the Team Leader, you would support your team in ensuring the delivery of the highest quality service to our clients and fostering a productive team culture. The aim is to enhance our service efficiency, expedite client servicing, ensure timely billing, and continuously seek improvements in our service delivery.

A role you will love
As the Business Team Manager, you will work closely with the global GEC Management team to ensure seamless and aligned operations across all regions, ensuring consistent implementation of processes and initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage financial processes and operational reporting, overseeing the financial operations and reporting processes within the Global Entity Compliance (GEC) framework, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the delivery of key metrics that drive business decisions.
  • Lead client and vendor onboarding processes in collaboration with the Operations Director to design and implement efficient, scalable onboarding processes for clients and third parties, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement and champion the streamlining and standardisation of operational processes across the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing a future-ready operations model from the ground up, contributing to the strategic vision and operational success of the central operations function.
  • Manage day-to-day priorities while providing coaching and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and a positive team culture.
  • Foster a collaborative approach across the global teams and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to drive business outcomes and enhance service delivery.
  • Support the operational delivery of compliance and governance projects, ensuring health checks, documentation, and corporate change projects are completed accurately and on time, meeting client and internal quality and service levels.

What will you bring to the role?
To be successful within this role, you will have experience in a managing a small team within a similar Business Support or operations function.

  • Experiencing managing and coaching a business support/operations team.
  • High level of proficiency with PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Highly effective communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and track record of producing high quality work.
  • Resilient and composed under pressure.
  • Organised, proactive, self-motivated, take ownership/responsibility for own work and work of others.
  • Strong written English, numeric, analytical and comprehension skills.
  • IT skills including experience of document management and data entry using a variety of technology systems.
  • Experience of using Thompson Reuters Legal Tracker and some experience of conducting KYC checks would be advantageous but not essential.
