Location: Canton MA, New York City NY, Jersey City NJ, Edison NJ or Toronto Canada (Hybrid - 3 days/week in office)

In this position, you'll be based in the Canton MA, New York City NY, Jersey City NJ, Edison NJ or Toronto Canada office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. In Toronto, the standard work week is 37.5 hours, typically Monday to Friday between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In this role additional hours may be required to fulfill leadership responsibilities. As the Director of Portfolio Marketing, you are responsible for translating business plans and initiatives into marketing needs across multiple key North American Issuer/Transfer Agency business solutions and segments that could include but is not limited to: future clients (switch wins), law firms/IPO segment, AGM (annual general meeting) services, and a variety of other transfer agency and capital markets solutions, including new and/or emerging capabilities.

The Portfolio Marketing Director will own the strategy, development and execution of the business segment/solutions marketing plans in partnership with key business leaders and stakeholders, and will be responsible for creating differentiated value propositions, market-focused messaging, marketing, sales enablement and engagement programs, go-to-market programming, and cross-channel marketing programs to drive competitive differentiation, establish and nurture relationships with future clients, law firms and advisors, and other relevant target audiences and personas.

Responsibilities of the Director, Portfolio Marketing role include building the marketing strategy and execution plans for these solutions/segments, aligned with business stakeholder objectives, developing strong value propositions, messaging and marketing programs based on a solid understanding of the solutions portfolio and target audience segment needs. The marketing mix will include the creation of sales enablement tools (collateral, videos, communications, and other), developing impactful content and topic ideas to fuel thought leadership and touch points, and building integrated cross-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, search, events, PR) - working in close coordination to direct and influence marketing centers of excellence including content, delivery and campaign marketing teams. In addition, the Marketing Director will evaluate event and speaking opportunities to showcase our subject matter experts, drive awareness and engagement and oversee the planning and execution of events in conjunction with our Global Events team. He/she will manage all Marketing execution and budget to deliver best-in-class marketing practices and demonstrate return on investment.

The Marketing Director will function as the primary point of contact for key business stakeholders as a conduit to the marketing organization, synthesizing and translating business objectives into a relevant and balanced marketing mix. The role requires a deep understanding of the relevant target audiences, personas, segments/sub-segments, the buyer journey, and the competitive and industry landscape, in order to create impactful B2B marketing programs that drive business results.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop marketing strategy and plans for business solution/segment that generate awareness, engagement, business growth, retention
  • Translate business strategies and priorities into marketing plans and execution
  • Lead the development of go-to-market programs for a range of Transfer Agency segments/solutions/adjacent and new innovation (e.g., existing and new solutions and capabilities); develop collateral, sales enablement, content/thought leadership, and integrated cross-channel promotional campaigns
  • Research, develop and deploy buyer personas using a deep understanding of target buyer needs, the buying decision process, scenarios, and variations
  • Develop compelling, segmented differentiated value propositions and messaging frameworks targeted at buyers to be activated into content, campaigns, and touch points
  • Inform content strategy and develop collateral, touch points, sales enablement, thought leadership, use cases/case studies, explainer videos, testimonials and overall content strategy (with content team) to accelerate sales cycle and advance buyer journey
  • Evaluate, plan and execution (with events team) relevant industry forums and events, sponsorships and webinars, industry partnerships, and manage participation, while continually work to measure and evaluate ROI
  • Develop sales enablement plans to drive engagement with and adoption of business /segment offerings; innovative sales tools and best practices, selling system
  • Evaluate opportunities to optimize marketing mix across channels (with integrated marketing team) and create relevant collateral and touch points to drive integrated campaigns across channels
  • Support delivery of various sales enablement content assets to align with buyer journey and to support the RFP /Pursuits process
  • In close coordination with product marketing and management teams, oversee launch planning and go-to-market strategies for new products, solutions and services offerings, including the launch of Computershare's innovation and product roadmap.
  • Formulate market sizing, segmentation and targeting strategies, rolling up to inform the global approach
  • Own the relationship with third-party analysts or primary research vendors as appropriate
  • Work with business partners on competitive / industry analysis and SWOT, opportunities for differentiation or to manage gaps
  • Developing customer references, testimonials, and case studies for external and internal use
  • Conduct win/loss interviews and perform ongoing analysis to determine the level of customer adoption and provide feedback to the offering team
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing programs and communicate the results of related sales and portfolio marketing efforts
  • Collaborate across marketing to drive end-to-end program delivery, best practices and on execution of integrated cross-channel content and campaigns

What will you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; Master's Degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in financial services, equities, governance and/or fin tech segments and or with marketing of complex financial solutions
  • Track record of driving engagement and business results through building strategic and tactical B2B marketing programs and campaigns, with a strong understanding of how to target B2B buyers across segments
  • Proven track record developing and executing high impact B2B marketing programs and GTM strategies, demonstrating understanding of the full marketing mix in order to recommend variety of marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Track record in building value propositions and messaging strategies that inform compelling content, tough points, thought leadership
  • Experience in marketing financial services and / or complex services solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences, track record in developing differentiated value propositions
  • Strategic thinker: able to synthesize and translate strategy and business goals to marketing plans/execution, then roll up sleeves to execute
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing channels (social, web, email), content strategy, and campaign execution
  • Hands-on fluency in marketing analytics, CRM systems, and performance reporting
  • Self-starter comfortable working across cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities and diverse set of stakeholders; exceptional project management skills
  • ABM, experience with marketing automation, CRM (preferred)
  • Experience with equity issuer / transfer agency/capital markets and governance solutions (preferred)
  • Experience in a leadership role (preferred)

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $135,000 - $165,000/yearly. This base pay range is specific to New York and New Jersey and may not be applicable to other locations.
