A role you will love

As one of our Application Support Engineers, you will work within the Global support team whose aim is to Partner with the business to ensure they can meet the demands of their clients and markets through their use of technology.

You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Service Management and Development teams, giving you exposure to a wide range of methods and technologies within the business.

Some key responsibilities:

  • Triage and resolve software application issues, including software debugging, analysing performance and data anomalies and coordinating fixes.
  • Work with development and infrastructure teams, as well as external vendors to determine the root cause of issues.
  • Assisting in resolution of product issues through client/customer education.
  • Development of automated processes to replace manual tasks and reduce associated risks.
  • Perform data and system analysis.
  • Active involvement in Service Transition from development teams.

What will you bring to the role?

As this position sits within a technical function, you will need to have experience working in a technology environment with knowledge of various technologies and support experience.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Extensive experience of data models and database structures using SQL.
  • Solid code debugging skills.
  • Willingness to learn about the business and the technology on the job.
  • Strong support driven thinking and acting, client focus, and service-orientation are a must.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, negotiation and issue resolution skills.
