Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Materials & Processes Engineer, Chemical Processes who will primarily focus on support of chemical processes used in the nacelle. You will create and maintain materials and/or process specifications, provide real-time support to the program design teams, address questions and issues from Operations and suppliers and will conduct special process supplier qualifications. You will travel as needed to various domestic and international Aerostructures facilities and/or suppliers.

- Create and maintain materials and process specifications use for chemical processing of Nacelle components.
- Provide technical support to engineering groups, Operations, external customers and suppliers, and Aftermarket.
- Conduct special process supplier qualification audits.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of personnel up to Senior leadership.
- Travel 10-20% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit
- Perform other duties as required
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and typically a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and typically a minimum of 3 years of experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

- Practical experience with chemical processes (passivation, etching, anodizing and/or painting)
- Technical writing experience
- Experience with MS Word and Excel
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience with chemical processes materials used in nacelles.
- Technical writing (specifications) skills.
- Proficiency with SAP and Teamcenter.
- Continuous Process Improvement background (Lean, Six Sigma or CORE)
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment
