We are seeking a Logistics Analyst who will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with U.S. regulations such as the Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), and HTS. You will work closely with Global trade, supporting investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments, including procurement, engineering, manufacturing, customs, and global trade, to provide classification information and resolve classification-related issues.Primary Responsibilities:

- Perform most sophisticated JC analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier issues, etc.)
- Perform HTS classifications.
- Determine root cause of escapes and implement corrective actions to support process improvement.
- Analyze business needs (including technology needs) with respect to export authorization requirements
- Analysis of the demand requirements to anticipate critical items.
- Initiate requisitions in x-Class for HS/JC classifications.
- Compile necessary information for items with missing HS information
- Conduct research and gather information to determine the correct codes for products, considering factors like materials, specifications, and intended use.
- Ensure that all classifications align with relevant regulations including export control regulations under the ITAR and EAR, trade agreements, and customs requirements.
- Serve as the authorization owner for any license, agreement, and/or CAPs for Mexicali
- Review and determine impacts of the reclassification report.
- Stay informed about changes in HTS and JC codes, trade regulations, and customs policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HS and JC classification matters, offering guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that classification activities are completed within designated timeframes to meet business and compliance requirements.
- Support use of CTPAT, USMCA free trade agreement and Maquiladora audits/certifications
- Work closely with the Tech Management Team to ensure correct and accurate JC/HS information is recorded.
- Filing ACE in support to the cross-docking operation in Calexico.
- Ensure all necessary customs documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping logs and DODA, is complete and accurate.
- Ready back-up to offer support with the preparation of documents for moving items across the border between the US and Mexico.
- At least 1 years' experience related to US/MX customs regulations
- 2 years' international commerce experience, or education related.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- BS/MS Engineering or Business Administration
- Engineering and/or technical background
- Aerospace (program/technical) experience
- Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HTS
- Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations; specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)
- 1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HTS classification matters
