As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Quality Engineer.

The successful candidate can expect to:

To conduct Supplier Quality Assurance activities at WASP and within the supply chain in a manner that conforms to company policies and procedures, Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation.

  • Supporting the Process Assurance Manager in the overall management of quality activities with limited supervision
  • Ensuring the ongoing performance of WASP activities
  • Support WASP Quality activities as required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting SCAR analysis and reporting
  • Set objectives to support department improvements
  • Producing Quality Metrics
  • Supporting SQA activities where required
  • Support PA Manager in APQP activities
  • Support Qualification and Reliability Activity
  • Supporting Product Assurance with RCA & 8D reports
  • Support quality goal alignment activities
  • Champion CORE improvement
  • Internal & Supplier auditing
  • Support DSQR (designated supplier quality representative)
  • MRB/quality clinic
  • FAIR completion and approval using Net-Inspect
  • Work transfer activities
  • Attending supplier sites for Quality activities.
  • Creation of Process Maps, Procedures and Presentations
  • Customer quality enquiries
  • Training of staff where required.
  • Support Part 21 and Part 145 activities
  • Completion of departmental goals/targets
What you need to succeed?

Essential Criteria:

  • Familiarity with quality disciplines including 8D reporting, 5 Whys and the completion of corrective action reports
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages
  • Willing to complete training to support business requirements

Desirable Criteria:

  • Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Quality auditing experience (ideally to AS9100)
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) I.A.W AS9102
