  • Establishes structural specifications, conducts performance tests, and plans or conducts experimental, environmental, operational, or stress tests on models or prototypes of systems or equipment to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
  • Formulates conceptual design of products or systems to meet customer requirements. Evaluates product data and design from inspections and reports for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards to ensure compliance and product quality.
  • Applying scientific principles, designs major components or portions of a functional system, technically advanced prototype, specific or promotional product to ensure high quality and function.
Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and at least 8 years of progressive experience as a Structural Engineer in FEA and Dynamic Analysis of Aircraft seating. In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in FEA and Dynamic Analysis of Aircraft seating would be acceptable.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with CAE software including Hypermesh/SimXpert, LS-DYNA/Nastran/Marc, Hyperview/LS-PREPOST
  • At least 5 years of experience working with anthropomorphic dummy (ATD) injury simulation
  • At least 5 years of experience with Impact related analysis using LS-DYNA.
The salary range for this position is $101,379.00 to $196,000.00 per year. This is the correct compensation range. Please disregard any additional verbiage noted below pertaining to the salary range.The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
