Coinbase is seeking experienced back-end engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe.
The Consumer Product Group engineers strive to make the Coinbase retail app the easiest-to-use and fastest experience for accessing the crypto. In 2023, our goal is to be the #1 self custody wallet measured by MTU’s and download share. Wallet is the future of web3 and of Coinbase. Suite of products include: Coinbase app, advance trade, dapps, and staking.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and implement highly scalable, creative features that attract new users and motivate them to revisit our app every single day
- Evolve the architecture that delivers web3 content such as NFT minting, Airdrops, dApps, and highlighting trends in cryptocurrencies
- Build the first every social layer on top of existing web3 content using third party social graph APIs
- Work with engineers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
- Add positive energy in every meeting, and make your coworkers feel included in every interaction.
What we look for in you:
- You have at least 2+ years of experience in developing scalable APIs and shipping user-facing features.
- You’ve developed and shipped production features using open source libraries and frameworks.
- You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in back-end architecture, including performance, security, and testability.
- You’re familiar with product and design life cycles, and collaborating closely with QA, designers, engineers, and product managers.
- You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
Nice to haves:
- You’ve worked on back-end teams in the finance or B2C space
- Experience with running multivariate experiments to test feature variations
- You’ve worked on a Growth oriented team, and are comfortable diving into metrics data
