Sr Threat Analyst (Philippines Remote 10pm – 7am PHT)

Reporting to the Manager, Threat Analysts, the Senior Threat Analyst will be responsible for acting as a SME expert on email analysis and PDC processes. The Senior Threat Analyst will also provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship to our team of Security Threat Analysts, as well as ensure communication with the other PDC Threat Analyst teams.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide local leadership to a team of threat analysts tasked with identifying threats that impact our Customers
• Work with the regional Manager(s) to ensure that services are always running correctly and that shift coverage has been confirmed.
• Train additional Philippines Threat Analysts to ensure that the quality and quantity of work being done is up to the Cofense standard
• Act as a communication point with the other PDC Threat Analyst team for any information that needs to be shared or communicated.
• Serve as escalation point for in-depth analysis of phishing threats reported by the customer
• Identify malicious nature of the threat and provide details and guidance to the customer on how to mitigate the threat.
• Analyze reported customer emails to identify potentially malicious activity and provide detailed IOCs for those threats.
• Oversees team's activities to ensure investigations stay on target and provide value to our customers
• Ensure high availability and quality of service
• Proactively identify and propose solutions to improve services
• Ensures quality of all customer reports
• Work with manager to develop and maintain adequate processes and procedures to ensure service delivery and documentation
• Leads team development and growth by providing appropriate training and mentoring
• Represents the team in various cross functional projects at a time
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to take work outside of normal business hours as needed to support a 24x7 business model
• Ability to take holiday shifts for additional holiday pay as necessary
• Demonstrated experience in Email Analysis, Malware Analysis, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions that derive favorable outcomes
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in a high paced environment
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and creative problem-solving techniques
• Strong knowledge of how phishing campaigns are created, used, and maximized for profit

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Cyber Security and Cyber Incident Response
• Team Management background along with threat investigations experience in areas including malware analysis and email analysis.
• Having cybersecurity certifications is looked upon favorable especially CEH, GCIA, Security+, MCSA/MCSE, VCP, CCNA/CCNE, Network+, A+, CCSP, AWS Architect, etc.
