Job Summary
The HumanXperience Communications and Organizational Change Management Expert (manager) is part of a team responsible for delivering the organizational change management and communication strategy for the HumanXperience Program at CN.
The Expert will support (and lead) the OCM Tower Lead in planning, developing and deploying all change management deliverables across 4 Go-Lives (18-24 months).
The role requires collaboration with HR, Corporate Communications, and other key stakeholders to help achieve program and OCM objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the OCM team to
• Detail the scope of the change
• Deliver stakeholder assessment
• Deliver Change Impact assessment
• Develop change adoption strategies and plans
• Work with Project Managers to integrate change activities into project plan for an integrated approach.
• Coordinate and Manage change networks (Champions, Super Users)
• Liaise with other key groups at CN and externally (Support, business units, I&T, legal, Corporate Communications etc.)
OCM Deliverables
• Develop tactical change management plans mapped to adoption targets
• Develop and deploy FAQ's, PPT Presentations, Emails and other support resources as required
• Support the delivery of various communications through multiple channels (email, videos, and presentations, intranet site etc.)
• Monitor and ensure that that all materials on the HumanXperience SharePoint page/sites are up to date, revising as necessary. Lead as a gatekeeper for OCM materials across touchpoints.
• Plan and manage internal events such as HRLT meetings, HR HumanXperience Updates and Town Halls.
• Work with OCM team, project teams / SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) across various streams to assess stakeholder readiness and measure adoption.
• Support other change management streams in planning and delivering change management activities as required
Communication Plan Development
• Support the development of communication plans across different OCM streams within the program.
• Contribute to ensuring that creative and effective communication campaigns are delivered on time, within budget and with all approvals effectively managed.
• Develop key messages for campaigns and various channels • Develop and send communications in both English and French.
• Ensure all our various media channels used by the team remain up to date and relevant by developing and updating our various SharePoint sites.
• Work with OCM Experts and Program sponsors to align stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure consistent and clear communications for training/support material (job aids, e-learning modules & presentations)
Requirements
Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to support and manage a team to build, manage and facilitate the execution of change management strategies to support the people, process and technology side of business transformations
• Experience in contributing and executing communications strategy and plans
• Experience in organizing employee events is an asset
• Experience in developing and executing video scripts/plans
• Experience in supporting the management of external resources required for the execution of communication plans (CN resources and external resources such as videographers, photographers, designers, writers and translators
• Analytical and decisive abilities
Education/Certification/Designation
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR, Organizational Behaviour, Communications or equivalent
• Change Management Certification (PROSCI or other relevant experience within CM) - ideal but not mandatory.

Technical Skills/Knowledge
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office tools (including Teams and SharePoint).
• High Digital Quotient - Ability to learn how to use digital tools quickly (e.g. creating and editing videos).
