Job Summary

CN Customer Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Data Architect to drive strategic innovation and modernization initiatives and architecture practices. As a data and technology architect, you will lead the architecture of cloud native APIs, Data-Hubs, Data-Lake Information models and cloud infrastructures to drive the creation industry leading products. As an expert product builder, you will define practical architectures that ensure the performance, scalability, and maintainability of complex distributed systems. You will also contribute to the definition of strategic data and technology directions and define continuous improvement objectives in collaboration with Innovation leadership team.

Main Responsibilities

Responsibility 1

• Assist in developing and of modernization initiatives that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system.
• Managing product end-to-end data architecture, designing the technical architecture.
• Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
• Builds roadmap(s) for implementing and manage best practices in alignment with product architecture strategy.
• Keeps abreast of latest technological/industry trends.
• Lead modern data architecture best practices including Domain Driven Design and Analytical data models.
• Design and optimize application and integration strategies for the cost-effective delivery of scalable and reliable distributed systems.

Responsibility 2

-Evaluate current and emerging Data, Analytics and AI technologies. Be a leader in the architecture and engineering group, fostering a culture of design thinking, brainstorming, efficiency, and balancing vision with practicality.
-Define architecture and engineering standards, patterns & best practices.
-Influence leadership with effective communication of proposals, directions and strategic decision making.

Requirements
Experience

  • 12+ years of experience with data engineering and architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT environments especially in the areas of data management, system development life cycle and data integrations.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect with application, technology architecture modelling, planning and documentation for development, including SQL development and database administration.
  • 3+ years of experience as Senior Architect using cloud native data architecture and technologies.

Must haves

• Expert knowledge of engineering, architecting, and delivering enterprise grade products.
• Expert knowledge of designing integration solutions, with good understanding of Enterprise Data Integration and Architectural Data Patterns.
• Expert knowledge of Information and Data Architecture patterns
• Good knowledge of Data Governance and Data Lineage and technologies.
• Goof knowledge of SOA architecture, patterns and implementation
• Good knowledge of analytical data models Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact and dimensional Tables, Physical and Logical Data Modeling
• Good knowledge of Database Architectures - SQL, NoSQL, Document, Graph, Search, In-memoryDB
• Good knowledge of Micro Service Architecture, Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing, CQRS
• Good knowledge of API Architecture and Schema Modeling is a plus
• Ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to plan and lead the work of data designers and developers

• Experience in program & project scoping and planning with Agile process and tools
• Experience in delivering agile and iterative architectures
• Experience architecting/operating solutions build on Azure, GCP, others
• Experience implementing Big Data, Pipelines and Data Warehouse Architectures
o Like Hadoop, ADLS, Spark, DeltaLake
o Tools like Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Oozie, Solr, Avro
• Experience with Event Driven Architecture - Pub-Sub, Kafka, MQ, MQTT
• Experience with Integration of Transactions, Data, Streaming, Batch, Files, APIs
• Cloud Data Services Architecture knowledge
• DevOps knowledge
• Experience working with DevOps, CI/CD/CT - Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab
• Experience with Test Automation, TDD, BDD, ATDD
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Experience with Legacy Systems Modernization (Mainframe, SAP, Java) is a plus

• Lead the architecture and delivery of data products with very high strategic value and business visibility
• Lead strategic data architecture practices and modernization approaches of the innovation group
• Create strategic technology directions
• Define continuous improvement objectives
