Who We Are Looking For

The Data Analyst’s mission is to help build and lead the data and analytics function in alignment with the business's strategic vision and objectives. You will be involved with all facets of the business spanning marketing, revenue, content, product, users, and business operations. The data and insights will provide tactical decision making value to our business units and leaders, and inform executive and board level discussion.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex data models for data analysis to provide business intelligence necessary for supporting the goals, strategies, and objectives of the business
  • Develop and implement methods for data enrichment, cleansing, and transformation
  • Create visually engaging data visualizations to effectively communicate data insights and trends
  • Identify new data sources and develop ways to integrate them
  • Design and develop technical architectures, best practices, data warehouses, integrations, requirements, analysis and adoption of various data and platforms, including cross-functional collaboration with technical counterparts
  • Collaborate on data and analytics roadmap in conjunction with broader product and business road maps
  • Work with technical teams to leverage products and/or production-level AI and Machine Learning solutions by utilizing modern open source or enterprise ready tools and technologies
  • Continuously evaluate and improvement of technology and process gaps, data maturity, platform modernization, technology adoptions and digital transformation


Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of business experience in strategic data analytics
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance or Marketing; Masters preferred
  • Experienced in SQL, Big Query, GooglePaid Analytics, Basic Modeling, Google Analytics (GA 4 plus!)Python preferred; Metabase is plus!
  • Ability to develop and implement data models
  • Experience in data platform modernization, cloud migration and adoption
  • Basic proficiency of data mining and machine learning principles
  • Ability to synthesize and translate data holistically with an understanding of company and team goals
  • Ability to synthesize business needs and requirements to viable data and relevant analysis
  • Ability to host interviews, brainstorms / workshops with business teams and executives on data-related topics / projects
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information concisely through written & verbal communication
  • Must be authorized to work in US
  • Must be willing to work a Hybrid work schedule reporting into the Washington D.C. office 1-2 days a week.
