What You Will Do:
- Spearhead the development and innovation of back-office web applications, point-of-sale APIs, and cloud services with a primary focus on Ruby on Rails.
- Install, configure, and solve technical challenges across desktop and mobile platforms to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and performance, driving continuous improvement across the board.
- Provide mentorship to peers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence in coding practices.
- Lead by example in writing robust tests and automations to advance product testing and reliability.
- Participate in after-hours on-call incident management to maintain high availability and service integrity.
What You Will Need To Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing microservices, e-commerce platforms, and high-volume transactional systems.
- Expertise in AWS or other cloud platforms, coupled with solid experience in relational database design and modeling.
- Strong foundational skills in object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and advanced coding techniques.
What Would Be Great To Have:
- In-depth expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Extensive experience in microservices architecture and REST API design.
- Broad knowledge of IT environments, including aspects of networking, servers, and security.
