Position Summary
The SOC Mgr. leads a team of cyber security service professionals ensuring the quality, documentation and delivery of information security services at City of Hope. The role is a critical component of the overall cyber security effort, with an emphasis on serving as an interface between internal customers and core security program capabilities. This role requires customer and business focus and demonstrated skills associated with best practice aligned security documentation, issue management, leadership, communication and analytics.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Customer relationship management
  • Service Level Agreement management
  • Metrics, dashboards, and reporting
  • Security policy management
  • Provide team leadership and guidance for the Information Security Services Team.
  • Ensure that the team objectives and focus align to the overall program scope and mission.
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring candidates to build a high-performance team.
  • Support personal and career development through active coaching, mentoring and aligning opportunities with skillsets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with City of Hope internal clients to support their security needs.
  • Develop and maintain the Information Security service catalog.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Information Security Service Level Agreements.
  • Develop, management, and implementation of the IS metrics and dashboard reports.
  • Manage the Information Security Policy Management Process.
  • Document and execute integration processes and standards.
  • Document and report performance measurements for information security related products in service.
  • Develop and maintain IS Standard Operating Procedures for IS projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's Degree; Experience may substitute
  • 5-7 years of information security or relevant experience plus 1 year of experience in a lead/supervisory capacity. Hospital/healthcare industry experience is desirable, but not required.

Preferred education experience and skills:
  • Master's degree preferred
