Property Management

An Administrative Assistant job is available with the City of Fort Worth Fleet Division of Property Management. The Department is seeking someone to coordinate all or most administrative support to the daily operations of the Fleet Division. This position will also perform a wide variety of routine fiscal, administrative and technical tasks to support Fleet operations.

The Property Management Department, Fleet Division, plays a large part in providing support for all City departments serving our residents. The Fleet Division is the "glue" which keeps the City equipment and vehicles in a mechanically sound state and safe for all employees and residents. The Division seeks the best leaders to continue our tradition of being an award winning fleet! Our continued success for the future will bring maximum value to the City of Fort Worth.

The Administrative Assistant job responsibilities include:
  • Assist with supervising staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained and a succession plan is in place; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures.
  • Vendor invoice management.
  • Monitors, reviews, and provides continual follow up on all payment schedules and past invoice needs.
  • Participate in special projects including research and creation of existing and new processes and procedures.
  • Perform wide variety of administrative support duties related to organizational need.
  • The position will provide staff support including serving as backup for other staff positions in their absence.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college with major course work in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • Four (4 ) years of clerical and administrative experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills including effective written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financial & HCM software or other ERP system, and experience with Fleet Management systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in sublet billing processes and vendor management.
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment, be a self-starter, able to take initiative over work tasks, highly organized, detail oriented and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Must be able to evaluate current processes for improvement and efficiency recommendation(s).
