TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM PRINCIPAL PRODUCT OWNER
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Technology Platform Principal Product Owner is responsible for a product(s) or product line(s) within a technology platform that supports enterprise processes and initiatives, that is essential to the bank's day-to-day operations and that provides a technology foundation for the bank's competitive edge in the marketplace. They manage activities for a specific product(s) or product line(s) within a technology platform from conception through implementation, support, continual improvement, and innovation. They perform product and use case analysis, provide product documentation and training and serves as technical advisor on matters concerning the designated product(s) or product line(s). Additionally, at the principal level this position possesses advanced competencies and may own emerging, complex or strategically important Product(s) or Product Lines(s). Additional responsibilities may include mentoring and leading other staff, providing additional peer review, liaising with senior management on strategic initiatives and recommending and leading strategic initiatives. The Technology Platform Principal Product Owner is a recognized expert professional within the company both within and beyond own function with deep expertise or unique industry knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

Technology and Innovation Division
This position will function as the Product Owner for the Enterprise Agile Tools and will be responsible to develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive strategic roadmap of integrated Agile tooling ecosystem. You will partner with Application Delivery pillars and provide Agile tool-related thought leadership, best practices, guidelines and implement solutions.
What you will do
- Define, advise and implement an Agile tooling strategy in partnership with owners of enterprise tools and delivery methodologies
- Define & implement Agile tooling usage standards (i.e. permissions, workflows, post-conditions, dashboards, screens, and fields) and best practices to increase flow of value
- Create a roadmap for implementation of tooling integration between Jira and other technical and Portfolio Management applications
- Develop metrics, dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA/Confluence to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and customized reports
- Create and maintain prioritized backlog of work required to fulfill your strategic objectives
- Communicate regularly with a range of enterprise stakeholders
- Function as an Agile Tooling Manager and Subject Matter Expert
- Configure, use, and maintain global and project-specific Jira configurations
- Partner with Application Delivery leaders and provide Agile tool-related thought leadership, best practices, guidelines & recommendations
- Coach executives, business and the delivery teams to enable productive tooling usage
- Build and facilitate demos, "how-to" guides, and trainings of Jira & Confluence
- Leverage communities to spread product knowledge
- Responsible for Solution Implementation and Delivery of the Agile Tools
- Custom Atlassian solution design and implementation e.g., workflow, plugins/scripts, configuration
- Code & implement scripting solutions
- Web integration of Atlassian and other applications using Rest APIs
- Create Jira project roles, issue types, components, workflows, release based configuration
- Advise and assist Application Delivery teams in creating organizing and managing screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
- Exceptional engagement, facilitation, and communication skills, with experience collaborating with stakeholders at every level; Ability to present complex topics to mixed audiences
- Ability to gather requirements, propose potential solutions, analyze impact, communicate with stakeholders, and implement toolset solutions
- Installation, configuration, and system administration of Atlassian software
- Expert ability to develop & implement workflow, post functions, triggers, automated scripts, etc.
- Expert ability to write JQL (Jira Query Language) to construct custom dashboards, reports, filters etc.
- Deep understanding and hands on experience with Atlassian rest APIs
- Deep hands-on expertise with Aha! Roadmaps
- Expert ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment
- Expert ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables at any given time through effective time management and planning
- Team player and strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing software tool implementations
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years working in IT
- Minimum 5 years expertise & deep hands-on experience of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
- Minimum 2 years expertise & deep hands-on experience of Aha! Roadmaps
- Experience in a consulting or client delivery role
- Experience with web integration using Rest APIs
- Experience with the principles of Agile, DevOps and Agile at Scale methodologies
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, analytical, planning, and scheduling skills
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as, strong presentation skills
- Proven experience in demonstrating initiative in creating and maintaining positive business relationships with various unit managers
- Program management experience with the ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and timeframes (Program for Senior and Principal)
- Good knowledge of financial service industry preferred
- Functional knowledge of Agile development practices
Compensation
Starting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
