WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This opportunity allows for an active role in the Corporate Compliance program through the management of policies and the committee governance process. This position will manage compliance policy and procedure inventory and approvals, committee management reporting, regulatory deliverables and operating plan updates. There will also be attention paid to special projects including, but not limited to, support the Compliance Risk Assessment process and regulatory change process.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Establishes and maintains active management of compliance policy and procedures including version control, advisor/SME review, and approval. Monitor and track policy updates to ensure enterprise policy libraries are current and accurate.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Bank policies and procedures and their inter-relationship with compliance policies through inventory maintenance and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop and implement processes to assure policies are updated and communicated in a timely fashion pursuant to regulatory change
  • Coordinate compliance governance mangement cycle. Work directly with the Head of the Compliance Committee to develop agenda items, presenters and committee cadence as well as escalations to, Management Risk Committee, and Risk Committee of the Board, as well as other executive committees as required.
  • Experience communicating and interacting with regulatory agencies, including exam management and other regulatory affairs.
  • Manages the consolidation and review of Regulatory Body and Internal Audit continuous monitoring deliverables.
  • Updates and manages the compliance operating plan/annual compliance plan including management reporting on status of completion and escalation of past due items.
  • Supports continuous monitoring of compliance risk assessments to ensure identified deficiencies are remediated and status reported.
  • Supports and manages compliance initiatives for leveraging technology and enterprise tools for increased efficiencies.
  • Experience as a Certified Compliance Risk Manager (CRCM)
  • Experience communicating and interacting with regulatory agencies, including exam management and other regulatory affairs
  • Support and manages additional projects.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in banking, compliance, training or project management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with managing projects, processes and/or reporting.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience is a plus since this role is an individual contributor role.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to influence/motivate others to produce desired results.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong ability to work in a complex team environment requiring exceptional communication, project management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of bank technology and operating systems.
  • Experience in large project management.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to perform functional duties and related positions with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal/customer service skills; broad knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and provide guidance, makes recommendations, and/or escalates the issues to appropriate level of management.
  • Ability to multi-task and switch gears to work on special projects.
  • Exceptional PC skills required, including all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to identify and implement solutions.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
