Role Summary:

Cinemark is seeking top talent as a Systems Network and Administrator in the Information Technology department. This individual will support the IT department by maintaining multiple networks and working on multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Update production systems with software updates
  • Enterprise Applications of almost any type
  • Research and resolve compatibility issues
  • Prioritizing application updates
  • Scheduling maintenance windows
  • Heavy participation in engineering and maintaining a nationwide WAN using Cisco and HP ProCurve equipment
  • Will do a mix of project work and support rotations; including on call rotation with other engineers
  • Perform system assessments, design, implementation, refinement & testing plans that are in line with industry best practices
  • Ability to research, use available resources and "think outside the box" to solve problems and make IT workflow more efficient
  • Ability to do some light scripting for automating administrative tasks
  • Application packaging and deployment via Group Policy and Altiris Client Management Suite
  • Ability to learn and support enterprise applications (PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial, WebTrends, and proprietary applications developed in-house)
  • Work closely with the Application Development Team to roll code changes into production while following change control standards
  • Design, manage and support EIGRP networks
  • Design, manage and support IPSec and DMVPN networks
  • Manage and maintain secure configurations of Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Routers & Switches, and Cisco ASA devices

Requirements:

  • 5+ years "hands on" experience
  • CCNP certification
  • Systems administration experience in a windows 2000/2003 environment (50+ servers)
  • Cisco experience
  • DS0 through DS3 experience
  • PIX switching experience
  • Strong windows scripting skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (servers, etc.)
  • Excellent researcher, documenter, and communicator foremost
  • Ability to learn quickly and has touched many disparate systems over their career
  • Knows how to subnet and comprehends IP routing intuitively
  • Takes system security seriously
  • Has no particular bias when it comes to operating systems
  • Takes pride in their work and isn't afraid of rolling up their sleeves and doing what it takes to get the job done
  • Likes diverse responsibilities and enjoys a variety of jobs
  • Strong sense of ownership of systems
  • Perfectly comfortable at a command prompt
  • Strong TCP/IP understanding and comprehension
  • General interest in wireless device management
  • Familiar with the issues associated with complex networking and server environments
  • Candidate should also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage
  • Altiris (NS, DS, Patching, WinPE, imaging, CMS all levels, SMS all levels)
  • Solid foundation in The Microsoft Windows™ suite of products (Active Directory, Server, Workstation, Office, Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, IIS etc.)
  • High-availability computing, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (FSMO roles, dcpromo, group policy, replication, authentication, OUs, object creation, migration)
  • Desktop and Server OS deployment (Windows XP and Server 2003) using technologies including unattended installs, RIS, Riprep, Sysprep, and the Altiris Deployment Solution.
  • Disaster Recovery testing, modeling and documentation (backup/restore, Altiris Recovery Solution)
  • Complex issue resolution with a proven troubleshooting methodology and exceptional case documentation as this person often provides 3rd Tier Support
  • Creates project documentation in lieu of change control processes under Sarbanes Oxley and PCI requirements
  • Desktop and Server standardization, research, performance-optimization and testing
  • Working with servers that boot from a SAN; experience HBAs and allocating storage on the SAN
  • Hands-on experience with the HP/Compaq Proliant, Dell PowerEdge and IBM eserver xSeries lines of servers
  • Scripting ability (VBScript, DOS, etc.)
  • Quality experience managing all aspects of a product life cycle from start to finish
  • Commitment to working in a team environment as both project lead and participant as required
  • Commitment to documentation and communication of relevant information to key parties in a timely manner
  • Detailed planning and troubleshooting abilities
  • Thorough understanding and experience with Cisco routing and switching concepts and hardware
  • Thorough understanding and experience with Cisco security devices and related software
  • RSA Secure ID experience
  • TACACS+ configuration
  • Can configure Cisco network infrastructure devices
  • VPN, RSA, and Access Control List understanding
  • Certifications (MS, Cisco, etc.)
  • Administration experience with PeopleSoft, Lawson, Exchange 2000+ IIS 5+
  • Linux experience
  • Cisco 1600 router through 9100 series switch experience
  • Cisco VPN 3000
  • Experience with Altiris is strongly favored/desired
  • Experience with PCI and SOX compliance requirements
  • Manage telecom providers and other vendors
  • BGP configuration and troubleshooting
  • Network management software experience
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus
